Speedo in maxi dot

Featured Replies

How can I change the speedo in maxi dot to KPH (it's now MPH) ?

According to This thread it's not possible.

Then again some manuals state:

Setup (on the maxidot)

You can select the following information (depending on the equipment installed on

the vehicle):

 Language

 MFD Data (MFA DATA)

 Convenience

 Lights & Vision (Lights & Vision)

 Time

 Winter tyres

 Units

 Assistants

Alt. speed dis.

 Service Interval (Service)

 Factory setting

 Back

Second speed

Here you can switch on the display of the second speed in mph or in km/h 2).

2) Valid for countries where the values are indicated in British measuring units

It is only impossible on UK cars. On European cars you should be able to change it. And kastagir is in Finland so it should be ok.

I have been reading manual and fingering the maxi dot for hours without any results.

The car is superb 2008 2.0 TDI CR DSG with ambition equipment.

The car was bought from Finland. This is one of the reasons I have been wondering why maxi dot shows MPH.

There is no option in maxi dot for changing second speed display.

In the UK, our main display is MPH, therefore the secondary display is in KPH (due to the speedometer not having markings for both MPH and KPH).

In your country, the opposite applies and cannot be changed. Why would anyone want two identical displays?

According to the Swedish manual the Maxi Dot can display the Current Speed identical to the speed on the main Speedometer.

In all Skodas I have driven the current speed display in the Maxi Dot has been in km/h (With the main speedometer in km/h )

In my current Audi the digital display of the Current Speed is in km/h (Main speedometer in km/h) and I find it nice to look at the digital display instead of the main speedometer.

The manual also states that there is something called Alternative/Secondary speed, but that it is only availble on cars with british measuring units.

I believe that this is something that could be configured by a workshop or with VAG-COM/VCDS.

This is what it should be like on cars with km/h:

Digital speed in km/h and main speedometer in km/h.
