rear fog lights felicia 1.9 diesel

Featured Replies

Hi.

Can anyone please explain how i replace the rear fog light bulbs on my T reg felicia 1.9 diesel.

I have looked in the Haynes workshop manual with no joy and also the Skoda handbook that says it is recommended to use a skoda dealer.

Just unclip the lamp carrying part from the rear light (4 clips inside the car) and twist to remove the bulb. Simple...

Yes it sounds simple enough.

I thought it could be a bigger task, going by what is says in the handbook.

I will give it a go in the morning.

Many thanks for your advice.

Unless (judging by your comment on the handbook) you actually mean the front foglights ;) In that case, I believe you have to take the lamp unit off the bumper and dismantle it to get at the bulb - I have a feeling you may need to remove the bumper from the car to do this, hence the recommendation to let a dealer do it.

Edit: Ah, just checked the exact wording in my handbook, and indeed it just says "Fog Light Bulb" where it's referring to the front ones, with no specific mention of the rear ones, and I know Haynes have no information about the post-'98 front ones either, hence my confusion. As Darren says - the rear ones are part of the rear light clusters and dead easy to get at.

Rear fogs -are the bulbs combined side/fog ,(as Fabia) - if so check pin offset on original vs new-there's two differing lots around .

I have bought a bulb from a car spares shop.It is a 12volt P21W.

I have not yet put it in ,as it was so cold my fingers were freezing trying to fathom out how to remove the housing cluster.

My mechanical skills leave a lot to be desired.

But it was getting dark and felt like it was about 20 degrees below freezing.

I tried to do it in asda car park while the wife was shopping, [i thought a 5 -10 minute job at most]

I don't know wether there are fog lights on both sides of the car. There are none on the front.

The chap in the spares shop thinks there is only one rear fog light on the drivers side.

I never guessed it would be so complicated to change a light bulb,or maybe two.

To make matters worse the front passenger side headlight bulb popped last night.

I am dreading attempting to replace this one.

I have the headlight bulb.

Total cost £3.75p for the headlight and fog light bulb.

I will try again in the morning, weather permitting of course.

If i fail.I do have a damn good sledge.

Does anyone know where i can buy a team of huskies?

Thanks to all who replied.
