Hello everyone!

Featured Replies

Found this site a couple of nights ago. I have been driving an Octavia for the past three years and pick up my Octy vRs on wednesday, second hand 51 plate, black of course. Couldnt find a yellow one at the price i could afford! Still have to put up with the stupid comments about being a Skoda driver from naive staff, but as all other skoda drivers we enjoy laughing to ourselves knowing how to spend our bucks wisely.

As im no petrol head, still trying to suss out the best fuel and the like to use.

Any advice on minor tweaks or changes you may feel will help it perform better, but with minimal cost.

I look forward to being part of the briskoda commuinty!!

Hello and Welcome:D

i use Shell Optimax/BP Ultimate or Esso Supreme in mine but thats mailny because of the modifications i've done to it i'm sure that you'd be fine running on normal 95ron unleaded and maybe treating it to a tank of 97-98ron occasionally.

and i will say if you want to improve the Octy the first thing i would reccommend you getting is the Neuspeed Adjustable rear Anti-Roll Bar(ARB)and the R32 Golf front ARB.

the rear bar will be more than enough of a improvement but obviously would depend on what you want from your Octy once you get used to it.

if your near Essex and want to go out in a Octy thats had a few mods done to it drop me a PM and we'll get something sorted if not hopefully see you at one of our get togethers this year,Bruntingthorpe track day was great last year so hopefully be repeated this year.

and also once you start on the mods it a very slippery slope!!!!

Welcome :wavey:

I reckon the stupid comments will stop as soon as they've been in it - or better still beaten by it :D

Welcome :wavey:

Agree with Jane, I shut my detractors up by taking them out in my Furby ... haven't had a peep from them since. Have even heard a dit of defence for it from a non skoda owner who has been oin my car. :)

Thanks for your replys and links, Im that much of a non petrol head I was thinking modifications such as tax disk holder and rear window sticker. Any suggestions? Unfortunatley i have 2 things stopping me from big upgrades:- 2 children and a sensible wife!

Hpefully will make it to watch a track meet soon this year, although she will frown and call me very sad, but i do love her!!!!

Get SWMBO to read some of the threads on here, she will find that it isnt a chavy/petrol head site.

There is always some interesting reading ( non car ) on here.

My SWMBO regularly checks out the site, and comes to the S.East meets we have.

This is more of a community than an ad for mods to cars.
