Yeh you get a split second bit of lag in 1st but I came from driving a Fiat Punto..so...well

I've done 4500 in mine and I'm getting 41.5mpg with the air con on for 10 minutes of a 50 minute journey with a little bit of spirited driving.

No mats is a bit of a shocker :S

Not tried sport mode yet though either.

Just spotted you (or your missus) driving along Parkway whilst I was looking out of my 2nd floor window - very nice indeed (the car, not the window). That's actually the first Furby vRS that's not a demonstrator I've spotted 'in the wild'!

Now I'm more jealous than ever but hopefully mine is on a boat or if I'm really lucky, at Grimsby waiting for a transporter heading to East Anglia! :yes:

yes I just saw it going the other way as I humped it along Parkway. was going a bit too quick to flash! Dunno how you can get a vRS to 41mpg when I can only get my TSi to 33!!!

Chris, thanks for welcoming me to the 2 VRS owners club...I think we got our Octy's around the same time as well.

It's good to hear that the economy improves. I took the car this morning as I new it would warm up faster than the Octy...and the heated seats are mega...what a shame the switch feels like it would be rejected on a Fisher Price toy! :S

I wish the steering had a little more weight...it's much better than the MK1 VRS, but not as good as the Octy's...which I always thought lacking after the Golf. Has anybody tried backing off the assistance via Vagcom?

I found the steering ok, bit light near dead centre, otherwise its ok. Might be because the vRS alloys mine has are heavier (???) and larger than my cars original standard alloys. Which I am getting back with winter tyres on.

wow, best looking mark II vRS I've seen yet, love the colour combinations, especially the wheels!

not seen any pics of a blue one until now lol, looks very nice with the white roof and black alloys
