I was chatting to Mark (cheezemonkhai) the other week at work about my shakey DMF and how I was having to drive around the issue. He suggested that the hydralic pressure for the DFM was part of the braking system. As I had never had the brake fluid changed in my ownership of the car and the brakes were feeling spongey I had the fluid changed. Wow what a difference! My once chatty DMF when pulling away from cold is now smooth and clunck free! I can now change gear without it feeling like a learner again and have smooth, progressive acceleration.

I suspect there has been some damage in the time I have been driving it like that and expect in the future to be replacing it. However, as a short term fix it works great :thumbup: so I can highly recommend getting your brake fluid checked for water moisture if you have a chatty DMF.

Now on to fixing the front worn bushes, whiney turbo and new tyres :wonder: bloody money pits.....

The clutch cylinder shares the same reservoir as the brake master cylinder.
