Hi guys

iv been having some trouble with my electric fans for the last 3 days on my mk 1 vrs,they keep on running for 10 min or so after each journey(even if i start it from cold then turn off strait away they will come on)

has anybody else experienced this problem? my oil and water is fine and engine is running smooth with no overheating issues

any help will be greatly received thanks for taking the time to read this

Sounds like the thermostatic switch that controls the cooling fan is faulty.

Interesting.

The fan controller also controls the secondary water pump present on Leon cupra R's. Surprisingly, that runs for 10 mins or so after engine switch off, even when cold.

AFAIK, it turns the rad fans on too when the coolant is over 90C.
