Upgrade LED lights for the boot

Featured Replies

Thought I'd let you know I've just fitted these:

to my Scout. They work really well with a very bright even light in the boot, and no canbus errors. I know they are expensive, but the quality is decent and my wife likes to change our little boy on the boot floor, so this has been a big help, now the nights are dark.

The LEDs were an easy like for like fit, although the wiring loom on one side was a bit tight and fiddly. There are some extension wires in the pack, but I didn't use them in the end.

Anyway, recommended if boot lighting is important to you!

Cheers,

Les.

Interior lighting isn't monitored via can-bus so it's happy days. Door mirror puddle lights are but they are only 'quietly' logged as a DTC. They look like they'll fit in the boot of my Superb, nice and bright then I take it? On my wagon the lights are in the boot and act as down lighters when open and they could do with being brighter.

Yeh - they are really bright - the pic on the item description is pretty accurate I think of a BMW boot - and very white too. Provided its the same part - it seems to cover dozens of models including the Touraeg, Golf, Passat and Audi R8! Should be ideal I think, and a lot better than the OEM 5W wedge bulb.

As a word of warning, I did manage to set off the alarm at one point, probably by playing about with the lights without disconnecting the battery. Not a problem, but I nearly jumped out of my skin!
