Random dealer fitting costs - Eibach vRS

Featured Replies

So, as my vRS finally looks like it's about to land I've been around 3 local Skoda dealers to get a price of fitting and supplying the Eibach springs for my new vRS hatchback. I'm keen to stick with a dealer for warranty requirements with my company although Midland VW priced me £160 for fitting but would Skoda cause a fuss if there was an issue even if I did order the Skoda OEM springs.

Three dealer quotes and 3 random prices. All quoted the same £195.?? For the springs but then I received labour quotes with very different costs. Total prices including the springs were £821!!!, £521 and £490. More worringly 2 of the 3 dealers asked if I wanted just the front springs replaced?!?

Now earlier in the year I had a price of £420 fitted with Central Skoda, Birmingham but no one seems able to get anywhere that including Central Skoda themselves!!!

Dealers prices above are from Kings Heath, Central Skoda and Kidderminster.

Anybody recommend a midlands dealer who knows exactly what they are talking about with the cars they sell?

If you find one, please let me know, can't say I've been impressed so far...

I know it's not a Skoda dealership but Awesome Gti in Manchester supplied and fitted mine for £300. I doubt there would be any issue with warranty's as the parts are identical and they are a vat registered garage.

No point messing about - just get coilovers

would without question if it was my car. I'm limited to Skoda OEM upgrades.

I think that's my choice at present. Buy the springs through Skoda then get someone like Midland VW to fit them
