Ditto - but they're damned difficult to photograph - I've stopped the exposure down here to show them - in reality they're much brighter.

Looks like an Audi now------------------a cocks car.

I like the look mattievrs, basically the same as mine, thou I got pulled recently and told that they were too bright to be used at night.

Just to keep the peace I have now fitted a dimmer to them so that they reduce the light output when I switch the side lights on.

As from 2011 I believe that this is going to be standard fitment to all new cars, so there will be a lot of "cocks" on the road :giggle:

You have to bear in mind standard fitment will be e-mark approved as daylight running lights. Many aftermarket bodges don't have this marking, unless you buy brands such as Ring, Philips, Hella etc. I'm not sure but ISTR there is some sort of rule that they should turn off once the headlights are on?

yeah there is a law against it i think.I have mine on a relay wired to the headlight circuit so they stay on till i use the headlights then they automatically go off.

Errr - some of us might find that offensive. ;)

I'm not sure about that as the ones on the new Mercedes C and E classes are on all the time, even with the headlamps. Mine (Audi TT with LEDs in the headlamp) dim on sidelights and go off with the dipped beams though, so it could be related to how they are positioned on the car.

I think I went a little over the top with lighting on my Fabia Sport emoticon-0110-tongueout.gif

DRL's are supposed to be linked to sidelights so that they drop from 24v to 12v but I havent bothered dimming them as when my headlights are on they just look mad and dont provide any extra light really

Yet its just passed its MOT and I've yet to be pulled over by the fuzz emoticon-0100-smile.gif

Didn't Switch the Headlights on in the pic as it just dazzles the camera and all you see is white emoticon-0110-tongueout.gif

I second that. :)

Only at breaking the law if they aren't "E" marked.

Haha, I'm with the "DRL's are tacky" crowd on this one. Especially badly glued on aftermarket ones... but each to their own.

Exception to the rule: we have a prestige crash repair place opposite where I work and they always have a selection of Lambos, Ferraris, Bentleys and Maserattis and I saw a 458 Italia with DRL's on the other day... it was lush
