.... The dealership i traded my car into have it up on their site now.... Looked at it yesterday and they had it on for £7995!!!!! It's at a more realistic £6290 now..... Wonder if they found a few of the things it needed doing to it.

Well before, or at, the next service it needed front wishbone bushes, a new EGR valve and a new intercooler hose along with new discs and pads all round. It also had a leak in the cooling system somewhere as the coolant would go from max to min in about one to two months (Dealers had a quick look when doing last service but could only say it was from the radiator area somewhere). The week before it went i also found out the rear door carriers needed doing as the rear carpet was wet through.

Then finally there was the issue i had with the engine warning light a couple of months ago that could have either been a bit of debris in the injector which then cleared..... or was the first signs of no.1 injector giving up the ghost so could need a new injector & wiring loom in the future.

Can you guess why i just part-ex'd rather than selling private.

All this when i'd had the car for four and a half years and i'd always said i'd keep it for four to five years.

Along with the Brisky stickers on the bonnet and rear bumper. They've taken the rear window and rear quarter light internal Brisky stickers out though.

Just checked and it's no longer on their site so looks like it's gone to a new home..... Wonder if the Brisky stickers made it through to it going on the forecourt proper and whether the new owner will have a look on here?

I had a Ford Escort Mk2 RS2000 which i loved. I sold it to someone who said they would look after it, anyway about 15 years after i sold it i saw it again. I was having breakfast at the Ace Cafe and it was Ford day so loads of old Capri's and Granada's turned and while looking through the window a red RS2000 pulled up into the car park and i thought i remember that number platre and sure enough it was my old car. I went out to talk to the guy and it wa the guy i sold the car to and boy the car looked like showroom condition and made me think i wish i never sold it.

Ahhh i saw that when i was looking through the forum but never had a proper look at it.

At least the guy saw this thread.

It's weird indeed. Just spotted my old Octy for sale. It's stll got the black grille, chrome mirrors and deleted Octavia badge. I wonder if it's still got the dump valve that I fitted but neglected to tell the dealer about. I sold this car in 2006 with 33000 miles ont clock
