i appear to misplaced my service book for my vRS. Can anyone tell me please when the glowplugs are supposed to be changed, and any idea how long and how much a garage would charge? From memory i think it is 60k interval but mines done 54k almost and thinking it nearing the time.

Twenty quid a set of NGK'S. Easy enough to do yourself. Don't have to be technically minded to change instead of paying a garage stupid money for labour.

£20...Cheaper than i found. Eurocarparts do them for £40 approx and a guy on ebay is doing NGK for £8.95 a plug.

More like £40-£45 for a set of NGK's !

I've just bought a set of OEM ones from vwspares.co.uk, a few months back I had ONE replaced at the dealers and it was £50 all in I think

Just be careful not to snap them in the head when taking them out !

Save your money - they don't appear in the service schedule. Our last Furby TDI got to 140k and never had the glow plugs changed

Talking about servicing, what is required to be done at the 100k mark?

Not got service book to check.

100k is a 20k service so oil, oil filter and a pollen filter.
