Octavia front arb

Featured Replies

Can anyone help

I get a slight knocking from my f arb but here's the odd thing!!! Only when it's warm

I spoke to AMD Essex who reckon a collar can break off causing this noise anyone heard of this????

Obviously I can replace the Arb but ihave heard people talking about replacing the bushes with smaller ones and removing the plastic collars??

It's a mk1 vrs and the bar is a 19.6mm bar

Any ideas on this???

Failing that I'm a pretty competent home mechanic how hard is it to drop the sub frame and put a bigger ARB in and what parts do I need??

Cheers in advance

im no mechanic, but my mate (vw tech) who fitted my coilies and 22mm front arb didnt struggle to do it at all, but was up on a ramp took him a few hours to do the lot! and we changed a front arb on a 9n2 polo gti on the deck, well 2 trolley jacks ..... hope that spurs you to get it done! :giggle:

if your thinking of changin your front arb a 23mm mk4 golf r32 is a good upgrade with some superpro bushes

The 23mm antirollbar , is fited on Seat Leon Cupra or Topsport , VW Golf IV ,R32 , Audi TT or S3 , but you must change also the swaybar link (http://www.whiteline.com.au/product_detail.php?part_number=KLC050) , that is the cheaper way if you choose the hard way you must take this one :http://www.slickcar.com/productdetails.asp?ProductID=2550 ...succes

im trying to save a bit of money but get it done, it make sense to get it upgraded if its out!! ive spent a fortune this month on new brakes all round and a re map.

just to clarify the sway bar link are the same as drop links?? and if so is this stuff i could get from a motor shop if i were to order parts from for example an S3

i know MOTEX do the 23mm bar and bushes (super pro)

AMD quoted £148 for the kit but foolishly i forgot to ask whats included.

cheers

I got Skoda to supply and fit a golf r32 front bar.

Cost from memory £70 for the bar, and £50 to fit.
