wheels

Featured Replies

hi im thinking of getting winter tyres and was wondering whether i should get wheels from a scrappy and get tyres fiited to them or get winter tyres fitted on existing wheels and then changing them back in the spring? i have a 2001 octavia 5dr estate tdi

cheers

It's probably easier to get some 16" or maybe 15" wheels and put snow tyres on. With them probably being narrower tyres, they will grip better in the snow too.

Scrappies for some steel wheels are ideal.

If you slide into a kerb, batter them back into shape with a hammer, canny do that with an alloy :-)

Cheap as chips

A sand down and a lick of black hammerite keeps em looking top before you put them away for the summer.

pm'ed you
