Is there any steering wheel controls or a steering wheel stalk available to control the bolero system?

I know the DSG steering wheel has some controls but can this be fitting to a manual car?

Has anyone done this and how difficult was it to fit?

Try asking Ben (shark_90) in the Shark Performance section as his knowledge far exceeds his looks and he'll be able to tell you more about fitting a MFSW to a manual car.

You can fit a DSG MFSW to a manual car, you just have some redundant paddles attached to the wheel. You could also fit a non VRS MFSW from a manual car but you lose the VRS detailing on the wheel.

You'll need a new controller unit and a bit of new wiring to do with the airbag. Once swapped, there's then a bit of work with a computer to get it all working but basically it's plug and play. Swapping vRS badge from vRS wheel to non-vRS wheel is easy. I think you can only fit a 3 spoke wheel to a car with an original 3 spoke wheel and 4 spoke to 4 spoke, but I am happy to be corrected on that. I'd post some pics of mine if I were technically literate - but I aint :'( I went for 3 spoke in all smooth leather. I actually prefer the look and feel of it to the perforated leather so I'm well pleased with the change.
