Airflow when Climatronic is powered OFF

Featured Replies

Hello All,

does anyone know how to stop the airflow when the climatronic is powered off?

I have tried to activate the internal air circulation before powering off the climatronic, but it seems not work.

If Climatronic is off, you should still have ram air when the vehicle is moving. You can cut this back a bit by closing the facia, and if it doesn't stay in recirc when C is off, I can only think that you can't kill airflow completely. Your best option is probably to set Econ (so air con is forced off), Recirc, and Fan speed 1.

I'm looking for a way to cmpletely stop the airflow when climatronic is off without closing the air vents. Is it still possible on SUPERB II? The econo function is not present on my climatronic version.

The Econ button has been replaced by the AC button.

If you power off the climate control system you will still get (as Ken rightly says) the ram air effect when driving along.

I would imagine the recirc damper defaults to the fresh air position when the system is powered off.

At the end of the day, the system is designed to deliver fresh and conditioned air to the occupants to minimise fatigue, maximise comfort and prevent the windows misting up making what you want to achieve very difficult as you are going against the design of the system.
