Yup ive tried that :(

Are you going,

Sony Harness --> Ebay iso lead ---> car loom?

Take that crappy ebay lead out, the factory fit cables are ISO

2) Check the fuses. fuse box under pannel end of dash, fuse in back of HU where the cables plug in.

The original lead plugs into the back of my sony head unit however it doesnt power up it will only eject cd's which is why i brought a new iso lead

im assuming all the fuses work as the stereo in there at the moment works fine ?

Sonys tend to come with a Sony harness, which has a single plug connector on one end and the iso on the other. and bullet connectors in the red and yellow.

the ejecting of the CD means one of the lives is connected.

Does the red and yellow have bullet connectors?

Are they plugged into the corisponding colours? or are they both pluged into one?

- red to red.

- Yellow to yellow.

NOT Red and Yellow to red.

If not then try swaping the red and yellow over.

Sounds like the switched live and constant are the wrong way round.

Is there a fuse on the back of the sony unit . . .check that 2

Is there a fuse on the back of the sony unit . . .check that 2

Wont be that as the CD ejects, so there is power goinf to the unit
