All,

The challenge is to find and post a wiring diagram of a pre FL and FL Octavia quadlock plug (below) for the Stream/Bolero/Columbus head units.

I would guess those members with access to ETKA will have more success than me.

This any good?

This shows the connects on the radio (i.e. it is that mating connector pinout to the one shown in your diagram).

Bl00dy hell, that was quick! is this diagram for the pre FL or FL?

The reason for the OP is to try and solve a problem I am having with a Bolero install, the LCD screen seems to be permanently in 'night mode' so during the day its very hard to see. Having seen the unit fitted from factory in a FL it will automatically dim when the side lights are turned on, however I have it on good authority that even though it was a factory fit in the LE (which iirc is pre FL) it doesn't dim with the sided lights! :S

The suggestion was that there may be a slight difference in the wiring between the different models.................??

Interesting you should mention that.

My Columbus unit doesn't swap between day/night or change brightness despite being on the 'auto' setting, is this normal?

AFAIK the disp light dimming is a CAN function and would not be dependent on the quadlock wiring.

Loads of stuff on here too that may be of use

Useful for changing CD and Aux in cabling round when chaging from the older headunits to the new...

Also, the outside of the Limited Edition was pre-FL, but the interior is the same as the FaceLift (and therefore presumably the electrics/gateways/canbus etc)

So could this be sorted with the VCDS?
