temp light flashing!

Featured Replies

hey guys

Ive noticed when its really cold outside like 0 degrees, the engine coolant light flashes just after start up, then stops after a few seconds.

There's plenty of coolant in the bottle, and it only does it when its really cold outside.

I should mention it wont do it again, until the next morning.

The temp needle gets right upto operating temp when driving, but no more than that.

Is this a low temp driving warning? Or a possible coolant problem?

It's the sensor in the expansion bottle - plenty of threads if you search, but you can either clean the prongs of the sensor or replace the bottle. See http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/126235-common-problems-door-lock-and-water-tank-sensor/page__p__1584446__hl__sensor__fromsearch__1entry1584446
