screen washers not working

Featured Replies

Hi wifey got home tonight in our loverly blue sledge (no snow tyres) and tells me that the screen wash needs filling up so as you do fills it up, now could things be frozen but rear wash works so is it a seperate pump F & R, if so could it be a blown fuse but carnt find hand book to tell me fuse location etc please help wife giving me earache B)

In my experience the front washers freeze before the back - worth checking the fuses, but it might just need some more concentrated screenwash.

Most likely cause will be the front washer jets are frozen. If you try the front washers can you hear the pump? If the pump is running you will probably pop a pipe off under pressure.

I found the other day that there must be some sort of protection circuit if you try the washers when they are frozen as my wipers stopped wiping after a couple of attempts. Stopping and starting the car (after it had warmed up nicely from driving for an hour) appeared to reset the wipers and the washer worked - had stopped at the services to see what was going on!

But to answer question: if you open drivers door the end panel on dashboard is where fusebox should be behind
