well ive owned my octavia 1.9tdi for six months now and its turning into a money pit in the six months ive had it its needed the central locking sorted, the rear wiper motor replaced, leak into the cabin sorted,2 window regulators and it went for new glow plugs today.when i went to pick the car up i was told they could only replace 3 glow plugs because whoever fitted the last set had cross threaded number 3 so as of tomorrow my money pit is up for sale im sick of it. rant over i might look for another octavia because i like the car

no i'll put it in the local paper someone will buy it cause it looks the part.its white with 17"black and chrome alloys.thats what hooked me

Hope you get some better luck soon ,as that little lot doesn't sound cheap.

You may as well keep it now you've spent all that money on it. Rear wiper motor, central locking and window regulators are fairly common issues across the VAG group, and glow plugs can fail on any car, so now you have sorted them you should just be able to enjoy the car.

My thoughts exactly. Having personally come up against a nearly four-figure repair sum on my Octy, I know how the OP feels, but in reality it is worth keeping going once you've spent a reasonable amount on the car.

Or he can sell it and someone else can have a really good valve car as the previous owner got upset that his second hand car wasn't perfect.
