will be needing a backbox and centre silencer for my 2002 1.4 8v fabia.

is there anything out there thats better than standard but not overly pricey?

tried ebay but most are for vrs.

Best you're likely to get is a custom made stainless steel exhaust, and some of them are more reasonably priced than you would expect. You'd hopefully never need to replace it again.

You have 2 options.

Buy a vRS bumper (or cut a hole in yours) and put a vRS system on. I'm not sure if it will fit though, being petrol.

Or go to a place that will make you a custom fit exhaust. If you've still got original system, then I can't see the point of a stainless exhaust as the mild steel one lasted 8 years.

I wasn't sure if the actual bumper has a hole cut in it, or the VRS one just has a skirt on the bottom (see clicky). I am guessing not many people have fitted the body kits to the lower specced models

You can get a vrs bumper and vrs exhaust its what i am currently having done to mine

Personally I like the back of mine without a tailpipe so i'd go custom with a hidden tailpipe.

Don't want to make mine look like a vRS, it isnt.

Why not get a standard backbox and straightpipe the middle box.
