-9 degrees and the Control system for exhaust light comes on

Featured Replies

On Thursday the outdoor temperature was minus 9 degress. When I switched on the car the exhaust light came on and stays on, never seen DPF light on. My dealer is not available untill Monday, can I still drive it? the car still drives fine. Do I need a good run on motoway at more than 40 mph to degen the DPF? Help me please, any ideals will be appreciated.

i had this last week it was -16 and i went to work drove nice and easy once the engine was up to temperature the warning light went out and ive not seen it on since

Exactly the same as yours. I had not driven it until Wed when I drove it to the dealer, on the way there the light went off. Presumably due to the engine being warmed up. The dealer told me still needs to check it up, as the software needs updating and the fault record needs to be erased. They carried out ECU check up and software update, as the allowence range was set too narrow leading ECU recognising extreme low temp as a fault. All done under warranty of course. thumb up for Silbury Cramlington.
