I ordered curtain airbags with my Octavia. Only the front (A) pillar has the curtain airbag tag and the option code in my service book is 4X3. The option description is "Side air bag front with curtain air bag". Are these front only curtain air bags? I see that there is an option code 4x7 which is " Side air bag, front with curtain air bagfront and rear".

I think that means that you have side airbags in the front passenger seats, and curtain airbags the full length of the windows in the car, i.e. front AND back.

The curtain airbag covers the front and rear windows.

Ignore the 'airbag' badge as it merely indicates the position of the firing mechanism for rescue personnel etc due to the presence of high pressure gas. If you peel back the rubber rear door seal and roof lining you should be able to see the curtain airbag fabric.
