MAP, MAF, rpm and Load data

Featured Replies

Below are data log plots obtained using a free trial version of Touchscan (the licence lasts 2 weeks).

I performed a 3rd gear full throttle run from about 20mph to 70mph in my '04 Fabia vRS. I logged the following data (the x-axis is time in seconds).

MAF (mg/stroke),

MAP (kPa),

rpm,

engine load (%)

The reason for doing this was poor performance over the last few weeks, the turbo kick doesn't seen quite as strong as it used to and also apalling fuel economy (about 40mpg on a long motorway run cruising at 70).

The Touchscan software is good, but I had to convert the MAF readings from g/s to mg/str (which are the units I've seen quoted by others before).

Does this data look normal? Does anyone know any 'normal' values for these parameters?

Cheers

Anyone got any comments? Anyone alive out there?

the MAF shouldn't fall off like that so i would suspect that it is starting to fail.

I'll have a look thru all my log files tomorrow and see if I have a fabi vrs one to compare, (I have lots of saved logs from different cars)

can you not plot maf requested against maf actual?

Thanks for the reply.

The freebie software I used doesn't plot requested MAF. Look forward to seeing your plots
