Congratulations. Have a fun day.

Should be collecting my more modest 1.2 from Allams on Saturday.

Hope you sleep well - you wouldn't want to nod off on the way back and prang it would you.

I should have enough time. I hope to take some underneath for you as well, if I can get down that lowemoticon-0136-giggle.gif as I ordered the RRP amongst many other options. Too many according to my wife. Well I live in my car, she doesn't, is my justification.emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

James collected me in 'Pat'.

Now just doing the paperwork.

Nearly time to drive off......

Yes, most of the snow has gone, but the Metro is saying that it will be back.

Mike

Glad you've got it Mike, enjoy it mate!

What can I say that hasn't already been said. This is one awesome beast.

I have been driving it around South London all afternoon and early evening took it to Biggin Hill, all in the line of work. I had to (OK, I could have gone the long way round on main boring roads) use some not very nice roads, very icy with compacted snow etc, used the off road button a few times. It was so stable planted etc.

The DSG gearbox is so much better than in my 5 year old Octavia.

I love the high driving position.

I love the car.emoticon-0136-giggle.gif I have only done 45 miles today.

I will post some pictures in the official thread.

Mike

Good to hear you like it! I'd love to know how the DSG has become better?

Hill Hold control, smoother gear changes, changes up to 5th at 30ish. It's only done 50 miles, not 100,000emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Ahh... I've never had an automatic before, let alone a DSG, so interesting to hear how much better ours is!!! I'm happy!

Looks great Mike,

and thanks for including my old Monster in the photos  Role on March and the arrival of the new PBM (Pedestrian Bílá Monster) :giggle:

Regards as always,

But of course not. I hope it is there, but I haven't seen it, as the boot was rather full of wheels and mats etc.

So may be Snow White and the nine wheelsemoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

I have also bought the boot floor and the polystyrene filler, and 2 rubber mats, so I can use the internal bike rack. As my mtb.'s replacement value is almost as much as I sold my '06 octavia for, I don't really want to leave it outside the car.emoticon-0111-blush.gif So I will have to put the spare in the boot, loose.

I think ours will end up being called Pat because of postman Pat in the front, or possibly Pat Monster Jr (red, also an SE, one year younger than The Pedestrian's The Plumber's and only 2WD).

Did a bit of a double take on the registration - its only one letter different from the one allocated to ours and ours is an X not a Y - but we haven't got it yet!

Belated congratulations Mike.

I've just managed to pass the 1000 mile mark this weekend in mine and spotted my first Yeti since I took delivery. I parked next to it in Morrisons Guiseley on Tuesday.

Can't get over how great these SM's are

I can't agree more. I've only done 150 miles since I collected Elsie on Wednesday, but I can't stop smiling to myself when driving her. I keep on wanting to use her off road.

I had to reverse down a road today because there was a large White van man van on it's side in Oxted on the way to Woldingham.

It was quite steep and still icy. I used the off road button and the light was flashing as I crept backwards down the hill. It was amazing. I am really, really impressed with this car. Nothing I have driven compares with the way it drives and inspires confidence. Not even my brace of BMW's I had previously!
