Hi guys,

I picked up a seat strut brace today and i am fitting it as i type this....it was all going so well, following the 'how to guide' to the letter

BUT

after loosely fitting the strut tower bolts on the passenger side the holes on the strut refuse to come in line with the holes on the driver side tower...or vice versa (i've tried both ways round)

:(

If anyone else has had this problem or just has an idea what to do...please reply to this thread...

The holes are about 1/2 or 1cm out of reach.

i had this problem slightly just mounted it at one side loosly and got dad to pull it

it is tricky like above just tighten the bolts but leave them loose, with a mate/girlfriend/dad/brother/mother give it a pull whilst the other tightens up the bolts, do each side bit by bit.

Oh and use a torque wrench :D

mmmmmmmmmm. strut brace fest... oh and I proudly wear the Seat sport badge on mine - Nice to let people know where it came from. Oh, this shot was actually an air intake comparison, but serves this purpose. ;)

Cheers guys!

I just called my mate, and hes on his way over to lend me a hand

I didnt want to start applying too much force on it until someone told me thats how to do it! I suppose its a bit daft really considering its built to take pressure, but i didnt want to risk it.

thanks for replying so fast
