For those of you wanting to beef up your brakes, a braided hose kit might be an option. However, unless I'm missing something you can't get one for the Fabia... yet...

I did a bit of hunting around and found 2 companies willing to make and supply a kit for the Fabia (Earls and Goodridge), but both need a set of the original hoses to use as a template...

Now, since mine's new & my daily transport, this isn't practical for me... but there are a few people on here who, for want of a more delicate way of putting it, have "tarmac enhanced" vehicles that will require replacing under their insurance policies ( no offence intended )

If anybody's got a spare set lying around, would they be willing to submit them to either firm for some product development, or give them to me so I can?

Well.... I can supply a section of brake hose for comparative purposes, but not a complete length as I believe I have cut them somwhere...

Will try to bear it in my mind, next time I visit my "tarmac enhanced" car.

I think the general consensus is that the brake hoses are already reinforced and using braided hoses would not buy you anything

I grant you, they're damn tough - I couldn't just snip them with a pair of scissors - it took some serious stanley knife brutality to get through one!
