rear hatch opening?

Featured Replies

Is it possible to fit something in the rear hatch so it can be open there not just at the level under the door?

Not only is it annoying there haha but it also wont open then theres snow on the boot weighting it down haha

Stronger springs.

Search as I've read about it before on the site.

Just bear in mind other cars parked close by or in a garage with a low roof.

hrrum had a search but no joy

When you say spring do you meen those gas ram things or is there some more springs some were else?

cheers

Actual springs, they're at the base of the boot.

I am guessing what OP is referring to is the fact that on the classic models which only have the boot release by the drivers seat and no motorised release with a switch in the handle?

TBH you should be removing snow before opening.

I am looking into fitting an alarm and subsequently a motorised boot release on mine so it will open by remote.

It was only after reading that that I could understand what the OP was trying to say... Isn't the easiest thing to clear the snow off? It might have melted soon anyway...

Oh I see now :D

Level = lever

So some models of Fabia don't have the boot popper then.
