I just ordered (yesterday) a new Superb Estate Elegance 2.0 CR 170bhp with DSG - Amazonian Green, cream leather/black carpets, + spare wheel, Luna alloys, speaker upgrade, MDI interface and iPhone cable, and additional front parking sensors. The dealer told me to expect a wait of 18 weeks +/- (tbc). Test drove a 2.0/140 manual SE which was superb in the grief while I had it. Looking forward to picking your brains and learning from your experience, folks.

Thank you. I hope so. It's a question of comfort and convenience and performance. I was thinking of a high-end Octavia estate, perhaps a Scout or a vRS, but I'm an outsize bloke and the Octavia simply didn't fit! The Superb though was just the ticket. I hope I will enjoy it for many years, and get my money's worth! However, I'm a kittle nervous as I'm a diesel/auto/DSG virgin (after 35 years driving petrol manuals). I test drove a 2.0/140bhp manual SE and it was excellent, so I'm looking forward to my new purchase.
