Should i fit TT Comps?

Featured Replies

Managed to get my hands on a polished set in good cond.

Any pics for inspiration? Otherwise I'll pop them on our Polo 6r :)

User polo6n2 (I think that's it) had polished comps on his. There are pics in the alloy archive. I want a set so if your feeling charitable I am open for Christmas donations :D

oh and yes look the nuts

Been done loads though, proves they work.

Mine on comps (although not polished) in 2003 ;)

These do look very nice, are they alot heavier than the standard fabia vrs wheel?

Was these fitted on a lowered fabia Tech?? And are they 18" They look good!

P.s sorry for the slight highjack :(

17s and that is lowered on Eibach springs (with adj Koni dampers) as back then coil overs weren't about.

if they are I might change my mind. Then again if you've ever held a focus rs alloy and 19' tyre before, everything else feels light lol

thanks matt,

If thats the case kinda puts me off now :( I thought they might be on the heavy side

Yup - heavy as lead :D But look good!

Hummmmm, shame really cos they look great

unless your racing it what difference does a few extra lb make? you wouldnt notice it in everyday use, and looking good will make it worthwhile emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I have S3 avus wheels, which are also quite heavy, tho not quite as much as the comps. I noticed the difference straight away when i fitted them, feels like weights at each corner. However, they are my road wheels, got others for track action.

I noticed how light my OZ superleggeras were when fitted, but then my car is built for performance. I would fit comps only as a show wheel now. From memory, they also clear Cupra R Brembos without the need for spacers, or I might be thinking of the Avus ones.

Yes, as per the pics I posted :)

So the avus wheels will clear brembo`s? without spacers? :)

A friend of mine has an almost-new set of polished TT Comps for sale, only covered 800 miles :)

Yes as do the TT six spokes.

Ah excellent  Makes me wish i`d had the dolla for the cheap brembo kits that were on ebay now!

Matt

Yes, as per the pics I posted :)

:D I could see some red, but from that range I couldn't tell if it was brembos or painted 312s :D

I wonder how much TT 6 spokes weigh. They are much more common and therefore cheaper too. :D Track wheels potential. :D
