Windscreen washers not working

Featured Replies

My dad's octavia II ( about 5 years old) has suffered front windscreen washer failure.

The rear one works fine, so the suggestion is it's not due to frozen stuff.

The pump is apparently audiable, so I'm guessing the cold has either split a pipe, or forced off a joint.

Any pointers as to where exactly to look?

Thanks

In which case when operated you will see screen wash leaking out on to the floor.

Nothing leaking? Perhaps a blockage?

He's over 70 and past lying on the floor to check....

I'll have a look when i see them, just wondered if there where obvious places to look for joints...

It's worth checking that the nozzles themselves aren't blocked. A strand of bike brake cable works well.
