Servicing - what have you paid?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I know a fair few of us have now had the first service completed. I just thought it might be useful for others to know what we paid and a few details of the service.

I rang around the three local dealers and even for the first fixed service my quotes varied between £94 - £129!

I wondered if you'd mind updating this thread as and when you get a service done. Is there a benefit to making it a sticky?

Service: 1st

Actual Mileage8,600

Type: Fixed (changed at this point from the variable factory setting)

Items changed: Oil (Platinum Synta for fixed service)), oil filter and sump plug.

Where:Darlingtons of Harlow

Price paid:£94

Comments: Seems fine, no problems encountered other than getting the mileage wrong on the paperwork by 1000 miles (not really an issue as I had it done early anyway)! They also checked for ECU updates and Columbus firmware updates as part of the service. Car was washed and hoovered also.

Service: 1st

Actual Mileage 15073

Type: Variable

Items changed: Oil, oil filter and sump plug (plus Cleaner p/n G052164M2).

Where: Ingram Skoda, Ayr.

Price paid: £125

Comments: Fine, no problems encountered other than the fact that the Service Interval Display no longer indicates a mileage countdown.

Job completed during a Saturday morning but they gave me a Roomster courtesy car till 5pm.

P.S. Service Interval Display now working. Indicating 17,700 miles and 707 days!!
