I'll get some 'on the car' pics up when its light outside.

hmm.. will the rear and indicator flash up red? :wonder: unless you get like green light or something :giggle:

They work fine and are all red with standard (red, white and orange) bulbs - came from the factory that way.

Not sure how'll they look on a black car though, but be interesting to see.

I used a red tint spray on a Jetta years ago - the indicators and reverse lamps were fine

I like them by the way

re-fitted. Put the lights and hazards on to check light transmission,

Indicators look a little more red in the dark, but there's a definite orangeness to the light still. As said above, 6n2 Polo's came standard with all red clusters (was the main inspiraton for this, the black ones look ace with red rears).

I'll get pics up when I get chance in the light.

Nice and subtle! I like! :)

Not sure, think I like it though.

I was there first:

I think it looks *fantastic* (but I had to take the film off for the MOT and haven't got hold of more stuff, yet. Too much to do...)

Cheers fella's.

I've done mine with spray, but it comes off easy enough with methanol. Looks smart on the LE blue too, prefer the pre face-lift rears though ;)

Careful you don't melt the plastic (or is it xylene or something that does that?)

xylene probably would, isn't it one of teh main ingredients of paint stripper?

Methanol is fine, I used it to remove the tint on my polo's rear lights when I sold it.

Not a fan, theres too much red going on for me but hey, your car you do what you like :) glad to see more pictures of cars on here with different things going on so bravo mate

Why? My old Jetta got through a few MOTs fine with all red rear lamps. Has the MOT changed recently?

like that, looks more OE & less chav than the normal dark tinting that you see emoticon-0148-yes.gif

^^this pic makes me want to remove the rear badges (I know you have badges out of the pic, but it helps you imagine what it'd be like), looking nice and minimalist.
