Colour coding bump strips from a yellow vRS

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any pics of a yellow mk1 vrs with the black side stips colour coded to the car, or even removed?

I'm comntemplating doing it to mine, but I'm not sure if it will look too... well.. yellow!

Just (quickly) photoshopped this, personally I think its too much yellow.

leave the bumper one's black and remove the door strip's

yep remove door strips and paint the front and rear ones as well as the crome grill gloss black looks ace will put a pic of my old one later

I'm with Si on this one. I decided against colour coding my front and rear strips, just because it breaks up the black paint just subtly.

I'd remove the sides, paint the grill yellow or black and leave the bumper strips on but get some AG trim wax on them

whats behind the door strips? Can you just heat them up, and remove them or are they clipped in? I think it looks pretty good with them removed, just didnt know what taking them off would leave behind!

Use a hair dryer to heat them up and they just pull off i done this yesterday on my corrida red vrs. then just use tar remover or glue remover to remove the excess sticky tape that they are held on with.

Be carefull though my paint is a slightly different colour underneath so i am trying to find a solution to get the paint to match in better if not ill have to put new ones on :-(, but it looks so much better with them removed.
