hi, does anyone know how putting different sized tyres on my fabia would affect it? the current tyres are 205/45/16. would 205/55/16 work?

If you were to search there was quite a big thread on this recently, basically they are to big being some 20mm taller than standard which is going to throw out your speedo and there are chances depending on what brand that some rubbing will occur.

Basically they were rubbing really badly, and I took them off after about an hour.

Intending to replace our 205/45 R16 setup with steel wheels and 195/55 R15 winter tyres (as indicated on the filler flap) as this size is almost identical to the original in terms of diameter but slightly narrower tread.

Also consider 185 60 15 tyres - cheaper and fit fine on my VRS
