Sounds like a relay clicking, is everything working as it should?

Yea alls fine electrical wise, audio, lights, dials, central locking. The video clip seems to pickup on the sound alot more then in person.

not heard the clip (at work), but if a relay, as suggested by alexandjen, then it maybe the indicator relay - are your external bulbs actually working for left / right / hazard.

Otherwise maybe a bit of a leaf trapped in the blower assembly. I will have to listen to the sound later, and maybe revise my comments.

Thanks i would appreciate that, ill do all the checks tonight when out of work.

i went on a 15 minuite trip earlier to tesco and whilst the sound was there when i set off, on arrival it had gone, so it seems heat related?.. indicaters etc are all fine also.

I would go for the hazard relay..... It is a very constant, timed ticking sound, and the indicators are the only thing which are timed at roughly that speed.

Thanks for the responce ill look into that straight away, this morning the ticking noise has gone so its certainly intermittent, poor contacts maybe...

Do you have any enemies? That sounds like an XX-259/B Type 2 time bomb mechanism. You're looking for an alarm clock thingy with some squiggly wires, one red and one blue, and a couple of batteries. This will connect to a lump of stuff like plasticine which may or may not smell like marzipan. You'll need to cut either the blue or red wire. DON'T get it wrong!

Might be the small engine from the climatronic system which handles the air flaps (this engine is called V71) . Try to do a "basic settings" with VCDS , it should stay in an intermediary position and you shouldn't hear it (in case that you don't want to replace it) .

Hopefully this will help!

Thats what I was thinking
