Hi there. Just realised yesterday that my hand brake feels loose and I have to pull it up very high for it to work properly.

I've done a search and seen a couple of other people have had the same problem seemingly for no reason.

Someone said to take the back tray off and tighten a 10mm nut underneath it. Can anyone tell me how the tray comes off? When attempting things like this I usually get frustrated very quickly and resort to brute force far too quickly.

Any help would is greatly appreciated

Its the small tray at the back of the console that the handbrake sticks out of. It just pulls straight upwards, shouldn't require much effort at all.
