Standing In The Snow

Featured Replies

Hi all

It now looks like we will not be able to get our Fabia out and on to the roads for at least a few months. The long term forecast is just snow snow and snow for the North East of Scotland. We are a few miles from any road that gets cleared by the council and are currently snowed in and can only get out with a 4x4.

So my question is: How do I keep the Fabia going, should I just turn it over every day or once a week and for how long?

Thanks for any replies.

Out of interest where are you? My g/f and daughter went up to Rothienorman just north of inverurie and i haven't been able to get up to pick them up yet due to the snow. Getting worried that I won't have them home for Xmas.

We are more towards Fraserbrugh past Banff and it's bloody terrible, no idea what it's like inland.

I've got a battery conditioner for the other car and bike - though I did take the car out last weekend (it started fine first time) getting some rather strange looks in the process, and the bike this Saturday (it started instantly). If you don't have one of those, perhaps a top-up with a battery charger for a few hours weekly? Not sure whether it's useful starting it up or not - perhaps fortnightly?
