Rear washer not working....

Featured Replies

I was driving around in negative temps today...i tried the rear washer and no water came out...

I assume its completely frozen? I am aware of the pipe coming loose in cold weather etc....i'm hoping it aint this as i cannot be arsed faffing around in these cold temps...

Does anyone here suffer from really bad frozen jets??? It was -5 celcius today!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd guess its the pipe in the engine bay, basically below the airbox, at least thats an easy one to fix

p.s. do a search, its be talked about a lot recently on here.

In this weather it could be frozen anywhere - unless you're using a very strong fluid/water ratio

Mine has frozen up twice recently, front & rear washers. I'm using ready mixed Holts screenwash.

The pipe connector joint in the engine bay is the most common one to fail - I used some gaffer tape to hold it together but left enough "flex" to allow for a little expansion or contraction - no problems since.
