Wing mirror controls

Featured Replies

I have had the car a few weeks now but not had much opportunity to drive it as yet. 02 Skoda Fabia. Main problem seems to be that I cannot adjust the 2 wing mirrors properly as the electric control moves both of them! Do not have a handbook and would be very grateful for any help!

One knob position should control only the left, the other both. and a 3rd, if you have them.. should turn on the heated glass.

Set the right mirror with the knob position that does both, then adjust the left on it's own in the left only position.

it's actually really useful when doing tricky reverse maneuvers to be able to dip both mirrors the same amount in one control.. and then bring them both back up together as well.

Select right - moved both

Select left - moves left only.

When I first started having a look at Fabias about 4 year ago, I test drove one that did exactly the same thing. I then bought one which was fine at first but then must of short circuited to do what it says above. It's a common fault and something I just lived with. The mirror controls work fine with my current Fabia. I wonder if it's got anything to do with people leaving the heated mirrors on all the time? Something I used to do but don't anymore.

It's not a fault, it's an option that can be disabled using VCDS.
