I've been waiting since... well since before i saw the first pics of the OctyII. But it wasn't until Oct/Nov I went to my dealer, Hekla (in Iceland), to get more info. The order wasn't in until Jan (caus the 2.0FSI TipTronic wasn't released until then). Now i've been waiting and every day is like a week...

The New Octavia won't be for sale here in Iceland until start of Feb, the first shipment is on the way. I'll get mine in end of Feb... can't wait any longer :(

Ordered my Octy on 6th September, 2004 and took delivery on 18th December 2004. So 3 Months 1 Week 5 Days, or 14 Weeks and 5 Days or 103 Days not that I was counting

I ordered my new Octy 2 via the HSBC Company Car website in early October 2004.

Last week I phoned HSBC and was informed that 'my car' had arrived in the UK and should be delivered by the dealer the week commencing 17/01/05...this week! It's already Thursday and no further news. I guess I'll be on the phone to HSBC tomorrow.

On the subject of company cars, I'm slightly peeved that there was no facility to upgrade at my own cost. My monthly allowance permitted the selection of an Octy 2 1.9tdi Ambiente with Cruise, the small leather pack and Sirius 16" alloys. For around

Ordered 1st week of july, arrived last week of september.

I cheated. The dealer had a car of the spec I wanted in a colour that I liked on display. Ordered it 2nd week of July for delivery 1st Sept. It was delivered on time.

Ordered 19th December. Build scheduled for week 8 (End Feb?), Delivery to dealer estimated at end of March (supposedly).

Ordered an elegance Estate last week - delivery March / April (probably)- factory build due to all the extras.

As the Estate is launching in Feb I'm not holding my breath - I bet I break the waiting time record when it finally arrives.

BTW: Specialist Cars Aberdeen order form/contract allows you to make time of the essence if they are > 21 days late. If the delay becomes outrageous I may switch to the hatchback.

Mine was ordered Dec 04, should arrive March 05 - checked it with the dealer in Jan and it was still ok then. That said I'll check middle of Feb 05 to see what the actual delivery date will be. It is supposed to be mid-March but I wouldn't be too shocked to see it pushed back a little further.

The sales guy did say however that even if it did arrive before that he wouldnt let me have it on 04 plates anyway (which I think is fair enough) - I am hoping it will be on the 1st of March though so I can run the car in before taking it abroad

Mine has been delayed, delivery late March instead of the beginning. I have been told there is a problem with the supply of 2L TDI engines throughout the VW group. It should not be affect any other models.

Ordered mine 17th Nov and collecting March 1st.

Ordered a 1.6 petrol ambiente (no extras) last monday (17th January).

Was told at the time it would take 3 weeks - now I've been told it will be between 5 and 8 weeks ! :eek:

Ordered my vRS on October 26th and received on January 11th. So about 2 and a half months - it felt like longer

My ordered Octy 2 is now with the supplying dealer. I've now to wait for it to be PDI'd prior to delivery sometime next week. Over THREE months now since the time of ordering!

I should've known better than to post that.... car not arrived with supplying dealer yet. Latest estimate is 4th Feb (drums fingers)

Well, it's finally arrived. It looks lovely, goes very well and smells like only a new car can.

How does it look in 'Magic Black'? I ordered mine in this colour without seeing it, some cars suit black others don't, hope you can post some pictures soon. Incidentally, I ordered mine in early December and the delivery date is mid Feb (after originally being mid Jan).

I'm the same as Wingnut, ordered it and haven't seen a decent picture or real one in black yet, especially with 17in Alloys. Come on hurry up with the pics!

Well I've found the CF card so expect some pics this afternoon if I can find somewhere to park it where it's not surrounded by inferior VW's and Audi's

BTW, All I can say is it's VERY VERY BLACK and I love it
