Hello from the Suffolk Coastal area

Hi folks. Just joined. Picked up a pretty tidy Felicia 1.3 Magic on a 'T', and isn't a bad little motor. 3 owners from new (2 from the same family), 68k on the clock and bags of T&T, all for £675. Its not perfect (boot trim fallen off) and has a couple of dents, but all is well with the coolant and no signs of impending doom from the head gasket. Temp stays nice and level, even when giving it the beans. Sat comfortably at 85 on the A12 this aft, and all the leccy gubbins work, including the standard alarm.

Its my second Felicia. I used to own an early 'N' plate 1.3GLXi, which I got shut of when 4 years old thanks to the impending HGF after the stat gave up the ghost. Before I bought it, it spent its first 18 months as a driving school hack...Had 36 k on the clock..

Dad had a Favorit LXiE Flairline in Carribean green, then moved up to a Felicia LXi on an R plate which was a bit of a problem car tbh, but the Favorit never put a foot wrong in the 4 years he owned it.

Also used to have a Felicia Cube 1.9D from Barkers of South Milford as a work hack..Tough little beast that was... Anyhow, here is a shot of it.

My Magic

Does anyone know the name of the colour that 'Magic's came in?

Welcome :)

Ta. Been around Skodas quite a bit to be honest. Worked for DMK in Leeds in 95 around the launch time of the Felicia (romantic red paint match was poor, many cars had to have partial resprays!. Also owned A Fabia 1.4 Classic plus on a 51 plate for a while til financial probs hit me, and I sold it. Bought it from Barkers in Sth Millford 2 weeks before they lost the franchise, and their service dept quite frankly was poor. Had to almost lose my rag to get warranty work done on my Felicia I bought from them previously. (approved used Skoda scheme)They even fitted the wrong exhaust to it from a 1.6 and ronnied the cat! They really deserved the loss of franchise. Switched to FR Pulleyn, and they quite frankly bent over backwards and sideways to help. Even provided a free bacon butty whilst I had my car serviced! Even got a couple of jobs that wouldnt be warranty jobs done FOC! coutesy car was once a Scooby Pretzel Sport..NIIICE :)

Popped into Hayes in Clacton today to see about a spare key for my Felly and was surprised with the price. They even recognised the car, as they used to service it. Old school Skoda dealer,YAY! It still has all their dealer stickers and reg plates on too :)

And from the reports i'm reading about Bristo's..Well....

Hello and welcome to Briskoda :hi:

Tidy looking little motor you have there. Everybody speaks very highly about Hayes at clacton, i've been dealing with Bristos recently and to date they have been very good to.

Welcome to Briskoda

Thank you all. Knew of this forum from a former work colleague from a couple of years back on the buses in York. He thrashed around in a Felly L&K. We nicknamed him 'management spy'. Seemed a decent chap. I was tonking around in a white Fester Ghia 1.4 at the time. Fast, but what a bloody money pit. Got fed up of welding the darn thing...

Anyhoo, Skoda owners always seem a nice, friendly bunch, and this forum is so far proving no exception to that rule. The other half loves the Felly too. Lightyears above the old Clio we had..
