Sidelights in Octavia VRS

Featured Replies

Hi All

After finding out (only recently) that the sidelights in a VRS Octavia do not work as the DRLs do the job instead, I am wondering can the sidelights be turned on using coding??

It would be niec to have sidelights and DRLs running at the same time.

Any ideas really appreciated.

Thanks

The half brightness when sidelights are selected are your sidelights

the other lights that are sidelights for lesser Octy's cannot be coded to be used.

Maybe they can be wired to work.

So during the day you drive around with bright LED's on, then it gets dark, you turn on the sidelights and what it basically does is just dims the LED's and nothing else? That's how it's meant to work? I thought I had a fuse blown. Is there any way to turn off the LED's in the day by the way?

I've just noticed that too, the bulbs are there, plus as you say, what's the point of having bright led's in the day and then turn your side lights on at dusk for them to go dimmer???

You can turn DRL's on and off with Maxi Dot or by using the Indicator stalk and the Ingition key
