Visited a dealer in Brum yesterday - he told me that the VAT deal will not be happening for any diesels in the new year, still available for petrols though.

Why stimulate sales for a car with a massive waiting list? The economics of the purchase will be stacked heavily in favour of petrol now.

On the plus side. Those of us with a CR should see the value of our cars maintained a bit.

Wonder if could exchange my 10 plate CR VRS for a brand new petrol VRS with same spec!!!!!

Seems like thats the reason why marlborough skoda was so keen on buying my 1.6 CR. Looking on their site they seem to be stocking up on diesels ready for the price rise.

According to my dealer, the VAT off offer is finishing for all vehicles at the end of the month. He says that they are offering a £1000 incentive for people to switch from diesel ordered vehicles to petrol, as there is a supply issue for the mannifolds for the diesels.

As for the new offers/deals for the new year, none of the dealers know, Skoda wont tell them untill 4th Jan, when they return to work.

Might sell mine for more than i Paid then!! Its only just gone under that price on the vauxhall price checker 9 months on with 10k on the clock!

Mine is at the port awaiting shipping. After 8 months of waiting, no input from retailer I'm putting mine on Pistonheads as soon as I get it home and getting an A4 S Line Avant again.

Corrida red CR with Xenons, Leather, heated seats, maxidot, towbar, auto lights.

Might make a few quid out of Skoda.

The only reason I'm going through with the deal is because the retailer is holding P/ex price at time of order and obviously the VAT Free helps.
