Nice shot - I took a shot of the moon with my Sigma 50-500mm in December but it was a full one, not quite as atmospheric (no pun intended) as this one.

While not using such an impressive lens, or producing quite as nice a piccie, can I add these images that I snapped about 5 years ago using my 350D and a focal length of 320mm (70-200mm lens). I think that I could get a better result now, using a tripod and a bit more nouse (is that how you spell it?). Everyone should have at least one go at moon shots :) I think there was a thread on here somewhere with some quite impressive pics (no doubt Scuff has a few stunners)
