Phone option disappeared?

Featured Replies

Hi all

I hope you all had a good Christmas? When I first got my SE Yeti back in June I tried to pair up my Nokia mobile, however it was not compatible, so I just forgot about it. However the wife now has a Nokia c3 mobile for xmas which i tried pairing to the car.

Much to my suprise pressing the set up button, and going by the manual, now there is no phone option? If you press the phone button it just mutes the radio/cd. My local Skoda dealer did reset the electric windows months ago, and I have a suspicion this has somehow messed up the boreo's options?

Or have I missed something (still getting over the flu, so not quite with it)? Any suggestions would be welcome :)

You set up using the maxidot, not the Bolero/Columbus.

Hope this helps.

Hi Mike

I tried usung the maxidot and the phone option just doesn't exist anymore. Thanks anyhow. I'll book it in at the local Skoda dealer when I have time.

My superb phone option disappears all the time, does not affect the functionality but its a pain. To pair the phone, turn the ignition right off and remove the key. Now put key back in and turn to the position where all the dash lights are on. Do not start car and the phone option should be back. There is a modified ignition barrel that stops this happening, but sometimes when you start the car the phone module looses its connection to the maxidot.

Hi.

With my superb, I have the same problem! (it a new car, from October!)

It's a very strange issue. I've reset the Navigator (with mic+eject+setup), but i've the same problem!)

Have you resolved the problem?

Thanks a lot!

That may apply to the Superb, but it's not what I encountered with the Yeti.

The phone option on our Yeti disappeared and would not come back whatever I or the dealer tried. I showed the dealer various print-outs from forums mentioning the issue about the wrong resistor in the ignition barrel, just in case they needed a clue about how to tackle the problem. After some consultation with Skoda UK they assured me it had nothing to do with the ignition barrel and the problem was a faulty Bluetooth module - the box that lives under the driver's seat. I was sceptical, but they were right: they replaced the Bluetooth module and the problem has not recurred.

Mind you, in replacing the module they cracked all the clips off its plastic cover, leaving it entirely unsecured, and didn't bother telling me about it or ordering a new one until I discovered the damage some time later and complained.
