Wheel alignment / Winter tyres

Featured Replies

Might be a daft question, but i've got some winter tyres arriving from Europe next week (from mytyres) to go on 16" rims.

Should i need to get the wheels realigned when they are put on the car, or should the basic wheel balance suffice?

As the diameter of the wheel is slightly different from the stock 17's, i thought it might cause an issue? The wheel alignment was last done by AMD when they fitted the coliovers.

Never bothered when I fitted mine as the old tyres had worn evenly. all seems ok at the moment.

Just balanced wheels.

cool, thanks

It's always worth getting the alignment checked every now and again, but it won't make any difference if your changing tyres. If you get it checked, don't bother going to some fancy laser alignment place as a good old fashioned equipment does the job just as well and will cost half as much.
