Driving home from work tonight the red battery light suddenly illuminated and stayed on.I pulled in to a petrol station,switched off,restarted and no warning light.

Should I get hysterical? Sorry,somehow managed a duplication!!

Agreed, I had mine flash on over certain revs. Then give up completely, I fitted a refurbed one for £140 on a exchange basis.

It could be the one way bearing playing up in the pulley, mine was still driving. So looked like the electronics packed in.
