As title, boost hose came off, had to drive it ~60 miles home and after a while the engine light came on. I've since re-attached the boost host but the engine light remains on even though I've driven it about 10 miles since. Will this go off after a while or does it need to be cleared?

it should go off itself once its happy with the readings now coming through, that can take a number of restarts. however the code remains on the ecu until its cleared.

it only came on due to the difference between actual & requested boost when the hose popped off - It ideally wants clearing with vagcom, and it shouldn't return as long as the repair is good.
