Anyone use a Brodit ProClip?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Does anyone have a Brodit ProClip for the Octavia mk2? If so, is it very simple to switch which holder you use with the clip?

Just wanting to switch between two different holders fairly regularly, not sure if the holder simply clip onto the clip or need to be screwed on.

Cheers,

Dan

I use a Pro Clip in both the fabia and Roomster. The cradle is screwed to the clip.

Although costly why not get two clips and corresponding cradles 1 to suit RH drive and 1 to suit LH drive. Might be a bit overkill on the dash though to be fair.

Just one screw !!

Ive just changed phones, so ordered a different holder that screws into the Brodit clip

Really simple

I think the previous people have got hold of the wrong end of the stick with your question!

If you use mini move clips as well as the ProClip and the appropriate one for your device then you don't need to keep screwing them together if you alternate your devices.

Cheers for that John, that's exactly what I had in mind.

It's an expensive setup though even for two non-powered holders, the proclip and the move clips coming to about £75!

How about this for a much cheaper option?

As you seem to be using passive mounts, why not stick some black velcro on both the proclip and each device? I've just utilised that idea as I didn't want to remove my phone from its gel case whenever it was being used in the car -> total cost = 40p and there's enough velcro left over to do a couple more 'items'.
